Effective, Affordable, On-farm Methane Measurement and Destruction
What we do
28toZero is developing systems to use catalytic reactors to address agricultural methane near the point of emission.
We are also developing systems that enable cost-effective measurement of methane emissions at individual animal and herd levels. This supports farmers and processors to “know their number” and act to reduce emissions.

28toZero Deployment Opportunities
Livestock
Many animals create methane. The 28toZero Reactor technology can be scaled to destroy emissions from individual animals at the source.
We are developing an on-animal 'wearable' suitable for pasture-based farming systems.
Effluent Ponds
Effluent ponds can generate 3% to 9% of a typical dairy farm's emissions. By capturing and destroying methane at the pond's surface, the 28toZero reactor can reduce on-farm emissions with no impact on farming operations or practices.
Barns & Sheds
Any building containing animals is a potential source of Methane. This includes piggeries, chicken coops, milking sheds, and cattle barns. The 28toZero reactor will destroy the methane before it escapes into the atmosphere without impacting animal welfare, diet, or production.

Our goal is to destroy 100,000 tonnes of methane by 2050.
This destruction will have the same impact* on warming by 2050 as planting about 20 million trees. *GWP20
In the long term, it is equivalent** to protecting almost 10,000 hectares of established tropical forest. **GWP100
